I've yet to see The Blind Side, but having seen the trailer for Academy Award Winning Movie below I suspect I probably now have no need:

Well you've blown it now, Lynden. That covers 80% of local releases, which I'm not going to go to now that you've spoiled it.
The Blind Side confounded me. I think it must speak to the deeply conservative heart of mid west America -- or something. Sandra Bullock, god love her, was playing Sandra Bullock.

Summing all movie cliche's into one trailer was great. But really, movie goers know that storylines and structure are repeated and don't care because as long as it's entertaining and another oscar winner or nominated cast and crew has a hand in it, they'll watch it.
But if you wanted originality, District 9 would be my vote.
