Peter Rasmussen
Clip from Stolen Life
Some very sad news. I've just learned that Sydney-based screenwriter Peter Rasmussen passed away on Saturday. Peter had several screenwriting credits including Australia's first feature-length machanima film, Stolen Life (directed by Jackie Turnure), which screened at last year's Sydney Film Festival. He also wrote In The Winter Dark and Mad Bomber in Love.
I met Peter recently via a mutual friend and found him a very warm, intelligent and engaging man. Only last Wednesday we bumped into each other in the pub at the end of my street, the Captain Cook. He seemed well. His death on Saturday has come as a horrible shock.
Interview with actor Claudia Black on Stolen Life.

I also knew Peter and admired his work immensely. He was a pioneer in his field and showed immense courage and dedication in internationally pioneering machinima as a new art form. Peter Giles
This is immensely sad, especially someone so apparently visionary
How did it happen? I never met Peter Rasmussen in person, but we exchanged several e-mails about his "Stolen Life" movie, which I love very much. It's a great, great loss...
Thanks for your tribute. I counted Peter as a friend and am very sad about his death. He was working on new projects and had increased his participation in the machinima community by helping organize monthly "meetings" on Skype and Second Life with Phil Rice (aka Overman). His death is a real blow to the community.
